1. Zombie

Zombies are always a popular costume option, especially when it comes to Halloween or horror-themed parties. Zombies have become a staple in the horror genre and they're still trendy today. If you're looking to go as a zombie this Halloween, you may want to consider going as an "undead" zombie instead of an actual corpse.

If you plan on going as an undead zombie, you can use old clothes and facial makeup to create a "zombie-like" appearance. You can also buy and wear shirts that say things like "I survived the zombie attack", or just go out with your friends dressed like zombies but don't tell them what you plan on doing until after the party starts.

2. Vampire

Vampires have been a part of horror movies and books for many years. The best way to go as a vampire during Halloween is to wear some really nice-looking clothes, fake blood, and contact lenses. Some people may wear contacts that make their eyes look blood red, while others may wear contacts that make their eyes look yellowish.

You can also use body paint instead of blood if you want to be a "good" vampire. You can use green face paint, or maybe even purple if you want to be creative. You'll also need some fake fangs if you plan on biting people at the party.

3. Witch

Witches are another popular theme for Halloween costume ideas. You can do something simple like wear dark shades and a long pointy hat or piece of black fabric tied to your neck to look as though you're wearing a witch's cloak. 

You can also go as an altar witch and wear clothing that looks more like the typical witch costume on Halloween. Or, you can try something different and go as the "bad" witch which is the type of witch that burns children in fires, gets little kids witches tied up in cauldrons, etc. If you want to go as the "bad" witch, you'll need a costume hat, as well as some fake fangs.

4. Spider-Man

Spider-Man is one of the most popular superheroes around today and he's also one of the most popular Halloween costume ideas around. With that said, people often go out in costume hoping to get the attention of someone they are interested in and a Spider-Man costume can do just that! 

There's really nothing wrong with wearing a Spider-Man costume on Halloween unless you think it makes you look like a total dork (which it might)! In that case, you should probably stop doing it.

5. Superman

Another popular theme for Halloween is superhero-themed costumes. People love to dress up as their favorite superhero, imaginary or not. Superman is one of the most popular superheroes around, especially when it comes to Halloween costumes.

If you plan on going as Superman for Halloween, your best bet is to wear a red wig, some blue contacts, and a costume that closely resembles Superman's. You can also use body paint if you don't have time to run around town looking for a good costume. 

With that said, if you want to go as Superman on Halloween and don't want people mistaking you for Spider-Man all night long, then dress in all-blue clothing instead of just red and blue clothing.
