Advantages and Disadvantages of Carrying a Backpack

Backpacks are made by stringing a series of interconnected bags around the wearer's waist and shoulders. A typical backpack has two main compartments, one at the top of the back where items can be accessed (upper pack), and one towards the bottom that contains smaller pockets, such as electronic gear. Characteristic Features: A characteristic feature of packs is their flexibility as they are designed to allow a range of motion in any direction while still holding their shape. This is achieved with an internal frame with many flexible connections called "straps" connecting it to the bag.  These straps spread out when loaded with weight so that even if there is no give in them, they will take up less space than tight rigid loops or metal springs would do.
