Airsoft is a game in which participants simulate military combat situations with replica guns. The most popular type of gun used for this purpose is the spring-powered airsoft rifle, which shoots 6mm plastic pellets at a muzzle velocity of 340–380 feet per second.   Airsoft guns fire projectiles using compressed air. These projectiles are made of plastic or metal, which is why they can be used in a game without any danger to participants. Paintball is a sport in which players compete by shooting paintballs at the opposing team of players. This often is done in woods or fields.
