The Perks of Owning an Airsoft Guns
The term "Airsoft" is derived from the Japanese word for "plastic". The advantage of this type is that it's cheaper and smaller than regular guns, which makes it a choice for beginners and people on a budget.
Airsoft rifles are generally full-sized replicas that may be semi-automatic in design (as seen in the screenshot above) or fully automatic from the non-folding M4 carbine model up to fully automatic AUG replicas.
These guns present less damage than
other types of air guns and toy firearms such as BB guns and pellet guns, but
they have a longer range and some are capable of achieving velocities
approaching that of paintballs.

Improves Aim and Trigger Control
Limited research has shown conclusively that playing with airsoft weapons improves real life aim and trigger control skills by improving visual tracking skills in the user's peripheral vision through experience with aiming exercises called "snap shots".
Airsoft BBs average around 4.5 g (0.16 oz) in weight but heavier BBs can also be used and will result in higher speeds from the gun due to the heavier weight. These guns typically fire projectiles at velocities around 35 m/s (120 ft/s) with 0.2g ammunition, and have a maximum effective range of about 180 feet (60 m).
Some high-end AEGs can fire at
velocities up to 90+ feet per second with 0.12 gram bbs, or even as high as
150+ feet per second with a custom built gearbox that has a longer barrel, better
air seal and higher grade motor.

Guns for Self Defense
Airsoft
guns are a great way to defend yourself, as well as your home. They also
offer lots of fun and a whole new perspective on combat! Here are the three
most popular types of these guns for self defense.
- Airsoft
Pistol
The first type is an airsoft pistol
- these pistols use 6mm pellets to fire at targets with amazing accuracy
(especially when compared to the other types). These gun pistols are popular
because they're easy to wield and have no recoil, so they're not difficult even
for kids or people with wrist injuries.
- Airsoft
Rifle
The second type is an airsoft rifle
- these rifles use 6mm pellets to fire at targets with less-than-amazing
accuracy (especially when compared to the other types). Kalashnikov airsoft
guns have amazing accuracy with nearly no recoil. The only downside to these
rifles is that if you lose them or leave them out in the open, you could be
mistaken for a terrorist.
- Airsoft
Shotgun
The third type is an airsoft shotgun - these are similar to shotguns minus the kick, allowing for a great close-range self defense option. They fire 6mm pellets and are very sturdy, making them perfect for home defense and as an inside-the-house weapon.
All three types of airsoft weapons offer self defense from aggressive play, managing older siblings and friends, and keeping your own peace while staying safe at home.
This is a post about airsoft guns.
What are they? What are their benefits? When should you use one? We will try to
answer all of these questions and make the process easier for you!

Provides Great Fun
Airsoft guns provide great fun for kids and adults alike. This type of gun is an air-powered replica of a real rifle, pistol or machine gun. Airsoft pellets, 6mm in diameter, are used in this type of weapon instead of bullets.
They come with either spring-powered
pistons or gas-powered internal combustion engines. Out of the many types of
guns, the most popular are AEGs (also known as electric airsoft guns), which
use an internal spring piston to propel pellets or BBs at a maximum rate of 600
to 850 fps.
- With Realistic
Looks: A Safe Alternative!
Airsoft guns give players the option to use realistic looking items for their equipment. This means that players can have a realistic looking gun, even if it does not fire a bullet. In order for this to take place, these guns must be purchased and then painted.
These guns are also available in varying sizes and shapes. For instance, airsoft rifles with longer barrels will be more accurate than those with shorter barrels; however, they may not fit as well into smaller hands or pockets. If a player needs a gun that is lightweight and easy to conceal, they should look for a pistol-like hand gripped model.
